Introduction to
HR
HRD is a matter involving social
development of man. Man is engaged in his work in the corporate society. His
ambitious thoughts are coordinated in a proper way to be put into use for the
better development of the society. HR is considered as a well-organized
teamwork, with joint leadership. They motivate among themselves and try to
achieve the common goal of the team. By their better performance, they are
getting approved for their work ability by the society. They are trying to
attain beyond the expectations of the society.
They work hard and seek
the help of the society at regular intervals. The society wants to travel in
proper speed in order to reach their ambitious destinations. The destinations
are not far away because of their will power in better management. The society
gives value only to the good of man in every field of management. The society
itself is the entire management field. Man bounds to do certain tasks which he
wants to perform in a proper way. When he manages within the team, he is called
a manager. The manager and the HR Lady are having and doing equal work ship. The
decision making is an important task in management. The decisions are taken by
the manager and the lady together by a process of input ideas. The ideas are
undergoing a sharing process and are discussed among the entire team members.
The ideas of each member are welcomed white-handed. The members are given enough
time to prepare the ideas and are spoken according to good wish. The ideas are
thrown in the air and are flashed in bon-papers to be approved by the head
managers. The head gives the right choice for the implementation process and
each is assigned to a group of teams. Ever since the existence of civilizations,
there has been a need for HR.
HR developments pay way to an organized
and systematic way of life. It increases the standard of living. It abolishes in
disciplinary activities. HR is essential in every field despite any machine age
or computer age. Man is the greatest resource that an organization can look upon
in controlling its activities. Also man is the only final resource that can
correct the company dealings. Manpower is needed in all aspects of life
irrespective of personal gains. Manpower can develop a well organized system
essential for the smooth functioning of the organization. The HR Lady has an
equal role to play as the manager for the bright functioning of the company. The
HR manager puts the base to everything and the lady puts everything into
practice. HR, if not used properly can lead to greater misuse in developing
inappropriate resources. Any number of new additions is possible in HR rather
than other resources. Organizational behavior is a key factor for controlling
HR. Manpower should be handled in such a way that it should suit there working
environments. Manpower can be progressed only through adequate given power to
them.
The employees should be really an asset to the organization. The
employees should be given proper responsibilities according to their dignities.
Motivation is another key factor controlling work progress. Only positive
motivation can build up a better organization. But a negative motivation is
essential only in the case of misuse of manpower in the development of
destructive things. Proper work environment is yet another factor affecting HR.
Continuous ineffective work environment leads to shortage of manpower which in
turn leads to shortage of output goods. Proper care should be done in selecting
work environment for women employees. They should be given fair treatment in and
outside the organization. Strict restriction should be there in employing small
children in any section of work. HRM is a vast subject where we can trace the
knowledge from different corners. One who is a keen observer can become the
master of the subject. It requires lot of reading to become fit with the
subject.
Another important thing is that one requires a good guide to
reach the ends of HR destinations. One should understand about the proper
utilization of human power. Also it is important to know how to tackle different
situations regarding employee matters. One should have the regular interest to
manage the people and produce good outputs. Also he should become one among the
employees and keep and grow in this attitude until the end of the career. It is
the duty of the HR person to create loyalty in the minds of the employees
towards the company. Also one should be enthusiastic enough to serve the company
even though whatever struggles and obstacles he has to go through. He should be
obedient with regard to the company policies and try to become the person whom
the management look for efficiency. The beginners should increase the touch with
HR even from the initial stages.
The HR person should master the subject even if any
hesitation occurs. It requires good command over the English language and good
vocabulary to convey messages. He should not go fast in HR learning, but has to
work slowly and steadily. The main skills needed for the HR person are problem
solving and strategy development. He should not be cunning in business, but
should be vigilant enough to keep the company dealings safe during difficult
circumstances. He should not only perform, but manage the performance of the
employees and produce fast results. He should be efficient enough to manage the
fast movement of goods inside the company and also fast delivery of goods to the
respective customers. So HR is a good subject to start with and as one goes on,
he can understand the different dimensions of managing the workforce. The very
essence of HR is efficiently managing the workers.
